Hellenic Home Initiative
Our association has officially joined the community-wide effort to support the expansion of the Hellenic Home for the Aged in Scarborough – a project that will provide 128 new long-term care beds, a Greek Orthodox chapel, gardens, and community gathering spaces designed with culture and heritage at heart.
With over 800 seniors on the waiting list, this expansion is not just a building project – it is a lifeline. It will ensure that our elders, who have given so much to our community, can live surrounded by the language, traditions, and values they cherish.

Our Commitment:
We have pledged to raise $25,000 toward this project. Over the next year and a half, we will be organizing a series of fundraising events and initiatives. Each of these will be a chance not only to give back, but also to come together as a community in celebration and purpose.
Through our pledge, a Nursing Station will be dedicated in the name of the Cretan Association of Toronto 'Knossos'. This honour belongs to every member and supporter who helps us reach our goal – it is a symbol of our as Cretan members and commitment to our elders.
