Hellenic Home Initiative!

We are excited to share some wonderful news with you!

Our association has officially joined the community-wide effort to support the expansion of the Hellenic Home for the Aged in Scarborough – a project that will provide 128 new long-term care beds

With over 800 seniors on the waiting list, this expansion is not just a building project – it is a lifeline. It will ensure that our elders, who have given so much to our community, can live surrounded by the language, traditions, and values they cherish.

Our Commitment:

We have pledged to raise $25,000 toward this project. Over the next year and a half, we will be organizing a series of fundraising events and initiatives. Each of these will be a chance not only to give back, but also to come together as a community in celebration and purpose.

Through our pledge, a Nursing Station will be dedicated in the name of the Cretan Association of Toronto 'Knossos'. This honour belongs to every member and supporter who helps us reach our goal – it is a symbol of our dedication as Cretan members and commitment to our elders.

Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to creating a place where our seniors will never feel alone or forgotten.

This is our opportunity to give back to the generation that built the Greek community in Canada. Together, we can ensure they live with the dignity, comfort, and cultural connection they deserve.
