Dear members and friends we hope you all had a chance to enjoy the summer months and perhaps even made it to our beloved Crete!
As we settle back into the routines of work and school and get ready to welcome back fall next week, we'd like to share with you some important reminders of events that we have planned for the coming months.

GIFFT (Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada)

At this year's GIFFFT two Cretan movies will be screened

Major film: When Mercury Held His Breath This major studio production brings to light the Battle of Crete like never before. Survivors of the Battle of Crete share their stories for the first time. Photos and archive material come to life through special effects. while it shares actual footage from the battlefront. This feature documentary is 1 of the 4 finalists for the gifft Awards in 2022.

Kroussonas: On Satan's Trail: This documentary refers to the personality and action of the leader of the guerrilla group "Satanas", Antonios Grigorakis during the Second World War. This feature documentary is also 1 of the 4 finalists for the gifft Awards in 2022.
